In the current semester, the Department of Agricultural Surveying, Cadastre and Photogrammetry and the Department of Geodesy will have new sets of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). As part of the financial resources for the organisational units of the University for the reconstruction, modernisation or purchase of new research equipment of the University of Agriculture, a measurement system based on the UAV DJI Matrice 300 RTK was purchased. The drone with the laser scanner: DJI Zenmuse L1, five-lens Share PSDK102S camera, Micasense RedEdge_MX multispectral camera, DJI Zenmuse P1 RGB camera and DJI H20T thermal camera will be used for research purposes. The acquired set should be treated as a professional solution for conducting research in the field of geospatial measurements, ensuring a high level of flight safety. At the same time, a complete measurement system based on the DJI Matrice 300 RTK drone, consisting of an airborne laser scanner, a multi-lens camera and a multispectral camera, is a solution significantly superior in terms of technical parameters, versatility and the possibility of conducting research devices that have so far been in the resources of the University of Agriculture in Krakow. The second UAV set was purchased with the funds of the Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Geodesy in order to carry out didactic tasks. Thanks to this purchase, the Faculty will have two new drones: DJI AIR 2 and DJI MINI 2.
